St.Andrew's Society of Winnipeg Endowment Fund

The St. Andrew's Society of Winnipeg set up an Endowment Fund with the Winnipeg Foundation back in February 2009.

This Fund was established on February 27, 2009 with a deposit from the St. Andrew's Society of Trust Fund.  The results of this investment in the Trust Funds of the Winnipeg Foundation have been most satisfying to date.  As at July 31st, the value of our holdings in the Endowment Fund had an increase of 16% in just five months.

Later this year or early next year, our Endowment Fund will receive a matching grant from the Winnipeg Foundation and a deposit from the Society's Trust Fund of a portion of the proceeds from the Annual Dinner scheduled for November 27th.  The price of ticket to the Dinner includes a donation to our Trust Fund and the Trustees have indicated their intention in the past to add some of the monies so received to the Endowment Fund to provide ongoing annual revenue to the Trustees for meeting our Trusts funding goals. They will likely do so when they meet after the Dinner.

What a fine way to remember and honour someone and provide income to the Society's Trust Fund in perpetuity.
